Proper mechanical performance of the modular junction plays a direct role in load transfer, implant system stability, prevention of loosening, reduction of wear, and mitigation of fretting corrosion. For this reason, modular junction testing is recognized as one of the most important tests for evaluating the mechanical performance of modular implants.<\/p><p data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"983\" class=\"translation-block\">The modular junction disassembly test is performed to determine the axial force required to separate taper connections between implant components.
